SAFFE Day 2024 is scheduled for Saturday, October 5!
Join us from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Historic Downtown Kilgore. We are excited to bring back this no-cost fire safety-focused event for our Everyday Heroes, children and adults with special needs as well as their families and dedicated caregivers.

We're Back!
Our dedicated firefighters launched SAFFE Day in September 2012, a one-day event of free activities custom-tailored for individuals with special needs.
Thanks to the dedicated efforts of an incredible group of volunteers and sponsors, we celebrate our special guests and their abilities with firefighter-themed activities at no cost to our Everyday Heroes or their parents and friends. Everyone is invited to celebrate alongside them with trained medical professionals and advocates standing by to ensure our guests are able to enjoy the day to the fullest.

An important component of every SAFFE Day is helping children and adults with special needs interact with the first responders who may one provide assistance to them in an emergency situation, and we’re grateful to the sponsors who help us fulfill this mission.
